Apple’s upcoming iPhone 7 has managed to stay in the news for a variety of reasons. Initially, the alleged device created extensive buzz because of the reports that hinted Apple to ditch the 3.5mm universal audio jack in the iPhone 7. Interestingly, that rumour might not be believable anymore, as the new renders of the iPhone 7 suggest otherwise. A Chinese website, Weibo has published a few images of alleged Apple iPhone 7 material-parts. These parts are shown to be sporting a 3.5 mm jack, after all.
The leaked images also show two variants of the forthcoming iPhone. One variant is expected to feature a 4.7-inch screen while the other will come with a 5.5-inch screen. These images distinctly show a lightning port accompanied by a much-talked about 3.5 mm audio jack. Perhaps Apple might not have any plan to go for an uber-thin design like the recently launched Moto Z smartphones.
Moreover, these images also showcase a dual lens camera module in the setup. These dual lenses might be a part of iPhone 7’s Plus variants. There is also a memory module with storage up to 256GB along with dual-SIM card tray, which could be a part of a standalone dual-SIM iPhone 7 variant.
Many of the other reports suggest that the iPhone 7 might be a rip-off of its predecessors, the iPhone 6 and 6s. However, there will be a difference in the camera lens and audio jack placements. Also, Apple has allegedly done a placement shuffle for the antenna line as well. Well, these are still the ‘leaked’ images and there are chances that the real deal turns out to be entirely different from the aforementioned details. The presence of dual-SIM tray and dual-camera is a surprise, though.
For what it’s worth, we would love to see substantial changes in the forthcoming iPhone 7, especially in terms of design and hardware. Apple users are generally slow in upgrading their devices to a new variant, which means that the iPhone 7 gotta be attractive enough for the Apple fans to go for an upgrade.
