More details about “Commandr

We wrote about the voice command app Commandr before. In a nutshell, it allows you to enable additional voice commands which aren’t supported by Google Now. Commandr plugs into Google Now’s voice assistant and the new commands can be used just like all the other Google Now commands by saying “Okay Google…”. If you want to go completely crazy, Commandr can also trigger your Tasker rules. Check out our article about Commandr to see how you can set it up on your Android device.

      • Katherine

Just start with “You remind me of the babe” and it will respond. You need to hit the mic symbol in between each part but it runs pretty seamlessly.

‘Go Go Gadget [Name of App]” would launch any app on your phone.
Just saying “Launch [App Name]” works as well, but being Inspector Gadget is much more fun.

  • John De Souza

  • DiddyMonster

Love this feature! I learned a lot of cool things from reading your comments. I found this page when trying to find out what command I said to trigger Google Now going into “dj mode” I was standing a good distance from my phone when I said “ok Google now call a.j.” Next thing I know the screen turned red, my phone started playing music that I don’t have in any collection& on the center the screen was a circle, kind of moving with the music. There were no lyrics, just music. It was actually pretty cool. Does anyone know how I prompted this? Thnx for any input!

  • James Weaks

How do you get it to stop doing things? For example: End Navigation, Close (app name), Go Home, Return to Home screen, etc… don’t do anything.

    • Romdude
