In this guide, we will show you how to convert Kindle books in a few very simple steps into a PDF file.  In that case, you will be able to use those books on any device without the Kindle App requirement.

Kindle is today one of the most beloved eBook readers available on the market, created by Amazon.  Imagine you have purchased a fantastic business book that reveals some amazing strategies that can be implemented in your workspace. Instead of writing everything down, you can send that book to your colleagues, mark the pages they should read and there you go. But is that really working like that?

Actually no. That’s why you will need this guide. Kindle books are saved in file formats such as MOBI and azw.  For your colleagues who don’t have a Kindle device and are planning to check documents on any other device, that will be a nightmare. The advantage of PDF files is that you can edit them compared to Kindle, where you don’t have that option available.

That’s why knowing how to convert Kindle Book to PDF can be handy for you.

When Kindle came out, that was a tough job to be done. These days, it’s effortless and we will present you a couple of ways.

Before everything, you need to have your book available in the library of Kindle App installed on your computer or Kindle device.

This is an outstanding online platform that supports converting more than 1,000 formats. It supports text documents, pictures, audio, and video file conversion. The site exists since 2006 and operates successfully ever since. It’s a very user-friendly platform, so you don’t have to be extremely smart to figure out how to use it. A significant advantage of it is that you don’t need to download any additional programs on your computer.

So primarily, visit the Zamzar website. There you’ll be redirected directly to the upload page. To add a file that you want to convert, click on “Add files” button and choose from the directory where your document is saved or simply drag and drop the file.

To choose the desired file format, click on “Convert to” and select ” PDF ” from the drop-down menu.  Click on “Convert now” and wait for your file to be converted. After completing the conversion, click on “Download” and save the file in the desired directory.

#2 Epubor ultimate

Amazing software that helps you to read your books anywhere. Epubor Ultimate has some additional features that are allowing you to convert eBooks and remove DRM. DRM stands for Digital Rights Management and by removing these, you get full access to your digital assets, such as eBooks, games, music, etc.  We will represent your online version since it saves a lot of time, but keep in mind that you can download the software.  This converter has fewer converting options, but it supports ePub, MOBI, azw, PDF, etc. So, to convert the files, visit the Online eBook Converter of Epubor.

#3 Calibre

In this program, you can find everything you need for your eBooks. This program is a bit more sophisticated, requiring to be downloaded and installed on your device. Very easy to use, completely free version. It supports all e-File formats and the more updates it gets; the better features are available. This program will let you convert Kindle books in seconds.

First, download and install the Calibre program on your computer. It is supported on Mac, Windows and Linux operative systems.

The user interface is very simple. To add the desired book in the program, click on “Add books”  or if you prefer, drag and drop a file in the program window. You will start seeing your books listed in the blank white panel, one by one, as you are adding them.

To start conversion, click on “Convert books” and choose a file format that you would like to create in a pop-up window. After pressing “OK”, Calibre will start transforming your Kindle file into PDF.

After the conversion is completed, you can go back to the home screen and in the list we mentioned earlier, you will see your book available. This time, you will see the book available in different file formats listed on the same list, such as original and other converted versions.

IMPORTANT: As we mentioned earlier in the article, DRM can sometimes create a slight issue while converting. If you get a pop-up window with an error saying, “ This book is locked by DRM”, that means that it can’t be converted for now. To convert that type of documents, you need to decrypt that document and then start conversion.

Because of the DRM issues that might occur from time to time, my personal choice is Epubor Ultimate. It requires to be paid, but I believe it’s worth it for the documents that you can’t find that easily. To unlock the magic of libraries all across the world with one click. Priceless!

We would like to hear your opinion as well. Let us know in the comment section below what programs you are using for conversion and why.
