Five Tips You Need To Know For ‘Destiny 2’ Nightmare Containment
For ‘Destiny 2’, here are five things you need to know. Keeping the Nightmares at bay On the Leviathan
There are three parts to the Nightmare Containment event in the main Castellum region of Destiny 2, and it’s best suited for a group of around six people. It’s a lot of fire and explosions, but based on my (many) runs thus far, I have some particular advice I think you should follow.
At any one time, there will be at least two or three “kill-type” patrols operating in the Castellum. Bounties can be completed in a matter of minutes (if not seconds) thanks to the large number of adversaries and the Leviathan Crown of Sorrow XP they provide. Completing the first two waves, on the other hand, only awards you with 12 XP. If you make a habit of patrolling during each Nightmare run, you can easily earn an additional 30-60 global XP. The “Behold” ones will take you out of the room, so avoid them.
Nightmare Containment and Altars of Sorrow have a lot in common, since both require you to bring a sword to hack down Nightmares’ yellow bars. A sword’s ammo supply (which can be replenished between rounds) makes it ideal for dealing with the large enemies you’ll encounter at every stage of the game. Rockets are fine, but they have a limited supply of bullets. However, bosses’ machine guns received a significant upgrade. Linear Fusions are impossible to aim at in the midst of this chaos.
Remember Unstable Essence from Shadowkeep? It’s not a good idea to attack without it. The Nightmares have a red ball that gives you a boost in damage?
You may now use it, and it’s a waste of time to attack most Nightmare opponents without it, since you’ll do far less damage. Just make sure you have the buff before you start burning heavy or super on the yellow bar Nightmare bosses, which are continually generating Nightmare bearer foes.
To deal with the Scythes, simply dunk orbs into the centre of the orb thing and spam heavy assault to clear the area quickly. In addition, they can be employed to clear the shield-blocking floating items above you during boss stages by shooting missiles. You’ll also encounter recovery orbs when you’re hacking through things; these are there to keep you and your crew alive.
A notice indicating that “lockdown” has been lifted for around two minutes will appear after each run of Nightmare Containment.
This produces two doors that can be opened in the Castellum that lead to a world chest that can be found inside. Right now, the easiest way to access those reprised weapons is through an Opulent Key, which may be hidden inside that global chest. You can use a scoped weapon to see where the treasures are hidden behind doors if you have the chest finder active. A few can be found in the middle of the Castellum by the entrance to the Pleasure Gardens, although it’s rare. If you acquire a key from the activity’s conclusion, it’s probably not worth running because you cannot stack keys.
In addition, you can use all of your stacks of Bound Essence when doing a Sever run to receive as much treasure as you have Essences for. This is so unusual that I wasn’t sure if it was going to be the case. However, it is. After that, they’ll travel to your postmaster for an additional five.
