You can expect a similar price increase in other markets as well if this works out. According to a second source, the new headphones will support 24-bit audio. Previous rumours stated that white, Graphite, and Bora Purple were the three colours that would be available in the vehicle.

We also have a “confirmation” in rumour form of the colours that Samsung’s new wearables will be available in. In terms of colour, we’re looking at black and grey for the Pro and gold and silver for the 40mm Watch5.

Features and specifications

As you can see from the images, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro won’t look much different from the original Galaxy Buds Pro, which was released in January 2021.

We don’t know much about the new phone’s specifications or features, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens. We’re assuming that features like active noise cancellation will be carried over to the new earbuds.

The Galaxy Z Fold 4, Galaxy Z Flip 4, Galaxy Watch 5, and the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro are all expected to be unveiled in August, making that a busy month for Samsung in terms of mobile device announcements.

Analysis: All of the buds

The Samsung Galaxy Buds have gone through a number of iterations over the years, so it’s easy to get lost in the shuffle. As a direct competitor to Apple’s AirPods, the original Galaxy Buds debuted in March 2019. As a result, in February 2020, we received the Galaxy Buds Plus, which improved audio quality and battery life without making any major design changes. With the bean-like Galaxy Buds Live in August 2020, which also included active noise cancellation, the design has definitely changed.

After that, the Galaxy Buds Pro was released in January 2021, returning to the original form factor, and the Galaxy Buds 2 was released in August 2021, as previously mentioned. Samsung’s new wireless earbuds are long overdue, based on the company’s recent history of releasing new products. It’s not just Google, OnePlus, and Nothing that are launching and improving their own wireless earbuds, though. There are many more competitors now than there were in 2019. In terms of selling points, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro’s compatibility with other Samsung devices may be the most important.
