Cheat codes are available for Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock for Xbox 360, however you must get five stars on every song without cheating to obtain all milestones.
These are Xbox 360 hacks only. The Wii, PlayStation 2, and PlayStation 3 versions of Guitar Hero III all have hacks available.
Guitar Hero III Xbox 360 Cheats: How to Enter Them
Use the guitar-shaped controller that comes with the game to enter cheat codes instead of the Xbox 360 controller. Cheats > Enter New Cheat may be found under Options in the game’s main menu. Toggle a cheat on or off by clicking the Green button in the Cheats menu after it has been enabled.

Games for the Guitar Hero III: The Third Dimension
The following codes relate to coloured guitar buttons:
B is for Blue, Y is for Yellow, G is for Green, R is for Red, and O is for Orange.
Each note or chord must be strummed as though it were part of a song. Strum both colours simultaneously if they’re mentioned together (for example, BY for blue and yellow).
Some cheats deactivate achievements when activated.
