That could imply that someone is lurking in the shadows behind your subject, or that you failed to see a distracting, brightly coloured object before pressing the shutter. Time, pricey photo-retouching software, and sophisticated photo-retouching skills are required to remove these unwanted guests from photographs. Even if you don’t have any of the aforementioned, Google wants to support Pixel owners who are in need.

Google’s Magic Eraser first appeared on the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, and now it’s on the Pixel 6A as well. Distracting items can be removed or masked from your images using this app. The end products aren’t always better than what you started with, but they’re still better than nothing. However, a Photoshop subscription is not required to try it out.

How to get Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro get Magic Eraser’s Android 12

On a Pixel 6A running Android 12 and the April 2022 security patch, I performed these instructions.

  • Go to Google Photos
  • Open the photo by tapping it.
  • If you don’t see Magic Eraser as a suggested editing tool, go to Edit > Tools and select Magic Eraser.
  • If you’re looking through your images and notice (and press) a suggestion to “Remove people in background,” you can find yourself in the Magic Eraser tool. The workflow below is the same in both cases.

Text will display at the bottom of the screen reading “Suggestions discovered” if the algorithm detects any locations it can recommend erasing. A white border separates the ideas from the rest of the image.

An Erase and Camouflage toggle is also available for quick access on the Pixel 6A. You can erase objects and use AI to fill in their background; you can also employ camouflage, which simply changes their colour or brightness to hide them from view. Tapping these settings will cause the proposed area to adjust to your new preference.

When you remove your finger from the screen, the effects will be applied to the area you’ve selected. You can undo and redo changes with the undo and redo buttons at the bottom of the screen, or you can hit Reset to go back to the original.

To save your changes, hit Done or navigate back to the main editing screen; from there, you may continue using other editing tools or save a copy of your photo. An M2 processor-powered MacBook Air was unveiled by Apple. Because the new 1080p camera is disguised in a notch, the screen is now larger at 13.6 inches and gets closer to the lid’s edge. For connectivity, there are two Thunderbolt 3 ports, two USB-C connectors, and one MagSafe charging port on this laptop. The M2 MacBook Air will go on sale for $1,199 in July 2022.

Q1: Why isn’t Magic Eraser available on my Pixel 6 Pro?

To begin with, Magic Eraser is only compatible with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. Magic Eraser also does not work on previous Pixel phones. Having a Pixel 6 and yet not seeing Magic Eraser could be because the version of Google Photos in use has been sideloaded on your device.

Q2: Does Google Pixel 6 come with a magic eraser.

With the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro, Google introduced the Magic Eraser feature, which is also accessible on the Pixel 6A.

Q3: Will the magic eraser be made available to other Pixel phones in the future?

The remarkable Google Magic Eraser tool allows you to eliminate persons, things, and objects. Rather, yes, we’ve found a way for additional Pixel owners to benefit from this feature.

Q4: How do you activate the magic eraser?

  • Activate the Google Photos app.
  • Select the image of your choice.
  • Select Edit from the toolbar at the very bottom of the screen.
  • Tap the Magic Eraser. Also white outline will appear around any possible distractions that the programme has detected.
  • Tap Erase All or tap each item to erase them one by one if you agree with the recommendations.

Q5: What is Google’s “magic eraser”?

Distracting elements will be obfuscated in real time. When it comes to the camera, it’s impossible to match with Google’s software gimmicks, even if other Android phones have better specs, design, or performance.
