How To Set Up And Use iMessage On Windows 11

Introduction

Microsoft has updated the Phone Link app on Windows 11 with support for Apple's iPhone, allowing users to use the software for phone calls, text messages, and even iMessage directly on their desktop or laptop running Windows 11. We have compiled instructions to set up and use iMessage on Windows 11, as well as other features.

Step 1

On your PC, open the Phone Link software for Windows 11. You'll be given choices for Android and iPhone. A QR Code will appear after you tap on iPhone.

Step 2

Now open the Phone Link app on your iPhone and select Scan QR Code.

Step 3

Using your iPhone, scan the QR code. Additionally, enable Bluetooth on your Windows 11 laptop.

Step 4

You will then be prompted to link over Bluetooth after doing that. Ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on your iPhone. When your iPhone asks for your permission, tap Continue and accept it.

Step 5

You should accept the pairing requests sent by both your Windows 11 machine and your iPhone.

Step 6

Finally, connect to your PC on your iPhone by going to Settings > Bluetooth. Ignore this step if your iPhone is already connected.

iMessage is now available on Windows 11 laptops and computers, allowing users to make and receive phone calls, send and receive iMessage, and interact with notifications. However, the Phone Link app for Windows 11 still lacks some major features, such as sending and receiving photos, videos, and audio messages.
