Instagram Rolls Out Notes, Candid Stories, and Group Profiles

Instagram is testing new features to simplify sharing. These features encourage platform conversation. Instead of a public feed, they allow close friends to interact.

Users of Notes can post messages of up to 60 characters in length, including text and emojis. Go to the top of your inbox, click "New Message," and then choose the recipients.

During that period of time, the note will remain at the very top of their inbox. Your inbox will be populated with new direct messages whenever someone responds to a note.

Candid Stories is a new way for users and their friends to record and share their experiences in a private story. Instagram and Facebook Stories are testing it.
