With over 2 billion users, Facebook is definitely one of the largest social media in the world. Logically, with so many private users, businesses, etc., there will be a bunch of videos. How many times you saw something you wanted to save for later, but you just didn’t know how?

Well, I have to say, for such a worldwide network, Facebook didn’t try too hard to provide its users with instructions for some simple things such as photo or video downloading. Also, they didn’t try too hard to offer you features for downloading. If you thought you would hit a “Download” button and the process will end there, you are wrong. However, others did think of you, so now you have some cool tools to use for easier video downloading.

Let’s go through a couple of them.

How to download video from Facebook using a PC

If you want to download a video to your PC or a laptop, first, you need to log in to Facebook and find the video you wish to download.  www.facebook.com

After you found a video, click on “Share” and then “Copy Link.” Now, you will see the URL that you can copy by right-click on your mouse and click on “Copy” or using CTRL + V on your keyboard. Now, open a new tab on your browser and paste this link. Do not press enter yet. First, change www in the URL to mbasic. For example, if your URL is https://www.facebook.com/videoguide/videos/123456789, you will change it to https://mbasic.facebook.com/videoguide/videos/123456789.

Now you will see a video like you would be looking at it on your mobile phone. Right-click on the video and choose “Open link in new tab.” After it’s opened, right-click again, and you will see an option “Save video as..” After clicking on this option, you will choose where you’d like your video to be saved, and you’ll need to name it. When it’s done, click on save, and that’s it!

Your video is now on your computer!

How to download video from Facebook using Android or iPhone

In case you want to download the video using your phone, you can do it. However, I would personally recommend you to avoid the app and download the video using your phone’s browser. There are several issues with the app and several security problems. To avoid all this, just access Facebook from any browser on your phone, and let’s start.
