In this guide, I will explain to you how to find your Android or iPhone in case you’ve misplaced or lost it. Also, I would like to give you several handy tips to erase your phone and lock it, so your information will remain private in case of theft.

Where is my Android?
A question you would definitely ask if you cannot find your phone in your pocket, bag, or anywhere you usually leave it – where is my Android?
In case you are using an Android device, and you cannot find it, or it got stolen, here is the way for you to track it down. First of all, you need a tool called Find My Device. You can download the app directly from Google Play Store or use it as a web-based tool. https://www.google.com/android/find
If you are using the app on someone else’s phone, you need to log in as a guest and input your Google account username and password. Only then will you be able to see a map that shows where your phone is. In case you just misplaced the device, you can switch on the option to “Ring.” Even if your sound is muted, the device will start ringing, and you will be able to follow the sound. On the other hand, if your device was stolen, you will see options to lock the screen and put a code only you know and erase all the data. It’ll help you keep your information safe.
If you are using a web version of Find My Device, you will log in to your Google account. Afterward, the procedure is the same, and you can make your phone ring, lock it, or erase the data.
Note: This option will work only if your device is switched on and connected to WiFi or mobile data.
What happens if your device is off or not connected to the Internet? You can try with Google Maps Timeline. Since Google Maps are tracking down every location you’ve ever visited, you might be able to search where your device was last seen. Based on this, you can start your search.

The second option is to try to find your iPhone using a web browser and iCloud.
