Now you can buy the iPhone 14 and 14 Pro. The iPhone 14 comes in four different models, and one of them, the iPhone 14 Plus, is brand new. So, there is the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone Pro Max. What do the new phones do better than the old ones? So, you could say that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus are a small step up from the iPhone 13. The camera and battery life haven’t changed much, but being able to take better pictures in low light is a big plus. The iPhone Pro 14, on the other hand, is more of a departure, with a few long-awaited changes to how it looks. No, because the notch is gone.

iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus: Now Available in Yellow
Apple just announced that the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus will now come in a new color. The iPhone 14 and 14 Plus now come in yellow, which was first seen on the iPhone 5c and then on the iPhone XR. Apple has used yellow in a slightly different way this time than it has in the past.
The back of the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus is a pale yellow color, and the aluminum frame almost looks like gold. The wallpapers on these new iPhones match the color of the phone. The iPhone 14 has a dual 12MP camera that can record in 4K Dolby Vision, a 6.1/6.7 60Hz OLED screen, an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, 20W fast charging, MagSafe wireless charging, and more.
iPhone 14: Design
The basic iPhone 14 hasn’t changed much in the way it looks. The new standard iPhone 14 has the same 6.1-inch screen size as its predecessor, but the new Pro Max-sized iPhone 14 has a bigger 6.7-inch screen. They look like the iPhone 13 pretty much. They have a thin notch and a back camera that is set up diagonally, just like the iPhone 13.
Both of them come in five colors: black (Midnight), white (Starlight), blue (Product), and purple (Product) (RED). Usually, you can get an iPhone in Moonlight, Starlight, or RED. The blue on the iPhone 13 is darker than the blue on the other two.
Apple is making four versions of the iPhone 14: the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Plus, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max. You could think of these as two models that each come in two sizes. The new member of this group is the iPhone 14 Plus.
It’s basically a bigger version of the regular iPhone 14, just like the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a bigger version of the iPhone 14 Pro. There is no longer a small iPhone. As Apple says, you now have “big or bigger”. In a way, this makes the product line easier to understand because we now have two sizes of both cheap and expensive phones that are the same size.
iPhone 14: Cameras
Apple improved the Main Camera, which used to be called the Wide Camera, by making the 12MP sensor bigger and the f/1.5 aperture wider. This lets the camera work faster and take better pictures when there isn’t much light. Apple says that this is a 49% improvement in low light. The Ultra Wide Camera hasn’t changed, and there was no mention of macro photography coming to phones that aren’t Pro.
Apple would have to add autofocus to the Ultra Wide Camera for this feature to work. The selfie camera has been made better by adding autofocus and an f/1.9 aperture. Face ID uses depth sensors, which help the selfie camera take better photos more quickly. Also, when Cinematic Mode is on, changes to the chipset make it possible to record in 4K. Users can pick between 30fps and 24fps and use the one that gives them the best camera performance.
iPhone 14: Emergency SOS Through Satellite
Apple made special antennas and other parts so that the newest iPhones can connect to a satellite miles above the Earth’s surface without a big antenna module. Most of the time, this system is used in an emergency. Using Emergency SOS, a user can send a distress signal through the satellite as long as they can see the sky or are under light trees.
The device will give the user a series of prompts to make sure that their messages are short and easy to understand. The user interface on the screen shows the person how to point the iPhone to get the best signal from the satellite. Using this method, messages can be sent as quickly as 15 seconds or as slowly as several minutes. This can also be used for things that are not emergencies.
If a user is out in the middle of nowhere and wants to let friends or family know where they are, the iPhone can use a satellite signal to send that information. Users can try out this feature for a short time in the Settings app to see how it works. So, if there is a real emergency, someone won’t be seeing the system for the first time. The first time a customer could use Emergency SOS via Satellite was in November 2022. It won’t cost you anything until the end of 2024.
iPhone 14: Battery Life and Performance
The iPhone 14 has a chip that is both new and old. It has the same A15 Bionic chip as last year’s iPhone 13 Pro, so the 5-core GPU gives you a slight boost in graphics performance. NBA 2K also had great graphics. When you miss a shot, Giannis Antetokounmpo looks sad, just like he does in real life. While playing for 30 minutes, the iPhone 14 didn’t get too hot, which is a plus. This is likely because it has a new design on the inside that helps it get rid of heat better.
Geekbench measures overall performance. It gave the iPhone 14 scores of 1,727 for a single core and 4,553 for multiple cores. That is just a little bit more than the iPhone 13 (1,668/4,436) but a lot more than the Galaxy S22 (1,204/3,348). The iPhone 14 keeps charging at 20W, so it’s not surprising that it takes a long time to charge. Apple says the phone can reach 50% in 30 minutes, but it can actually reach 54% in 30 minutes. And getting to 27% will only take 15 minutes.

The starting price for the iPhone 14 is $799/£849, which is the same as when the iPhone 13 first came out. The bigger iPhone 14 Plus starts at $899/£949. The starting prices for the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will also stay the same, at $999 and $1,099, respectively. Even though the price of the iPhone 13 has gone down since the new phones came out, we think that some people will miss the slightly cheaper iPhone mini.
