Having the ability to play any game cross-platform became one of the parameters to judge the game by. If everything is fantastic, from the background story to “real-life experience,” but the game cannot be played cross-platform, it won’t be ranked as high. Why is that?
Well, simply because people want to have the ability to play the game with their friends regardless of the console they are using.
So, for example, if you have a PC and your best friend has PlayStation 4, and both of you just love to play Minecraft, there is no reason not to be able to play together and join each other’s world.
Now, the problem is that the cross-play world can be very confusing. Some games can be cross-played only on certain consoles, such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox, while the option is not enabled for PC even though there is a PC version.
Firstly before talking about cross platform games, I want to introduce a desktop game recorder to you all. It is AnyRec Screen Recorder. You can record game video and audio on Windows PC and Mac without lagging. There are also many interesting features you can explore.
Compared with other recorders, you can get a beginner-friendly game recorder to record PC games. Just select the game display screen. Enable System Sound to record game video and audio simultaneously. If you want to record yourself playing PC games, you can enable Webcam and Microphone. Or you can enable Microphone to add voiceover to this gameplay directly. Of course, AnyRec Video Converter can also detect your external camera/microphone.
Here is a bit more about Anyrec Screen Recorder to make a decision whether you should go for it or not.
The PC game recorder can capture your highlights, kills, high scores, and achievements with high quality. There is no need to worry whether AnyRec Screen Recorder will make your computer run slow. It is a lightweight game recorder with advanced GPU acceleration support.
Moreover, you can add mouse effects, set hotkeys, take snapshots, trim video clips, share and save your game video smoothly.
Want to record, share, and relive your game moments? You can free download the program and have a try right now!
I tried to check as many games and cross-platform options as possible and list them here for you. So, let’s start.

Xbox PC Games: My #5 Top Picks
#5 Red Dead Redemption 2
Ever since the release in 2018, Red Dead Redemption 2 is popular among gamers because of its incredible storyline that’s cinematic and graphics intense for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S.
In Red Dead Redemption 2, Rockstar Games has raised the bar for open-world action games, sending you off on a dramatic trip through the West full of life and excitement in which everything is interactive and every move made by you counts.
The game Red Dead 2 is a prequel to the game Red Dead Redemption. You play as Arthur Morgan, who is in a gang. Sometimes he has to choose between doing the right thing and staying with his gang. You can see more connections to Red Dead Redemption later on, which makes it even more compelling.
#4 The Big Con
The debut game from The Mighty Yell, The Big Con, is wonderful. This adventure game is dripping with ’90s animated TV shows and culture in terms of storyline, images, and music.
Ali is the protagonist of The Big Con, a young woman sucked into a relationship with a fraudster after learning her mother owes nearly $100,000 in loan sharks. You take the high road to swindle any money you can earn along your way.
The joy of creating your own con is that it challenges you to be tactical in maximizing your earnings. Ali’s emergence as a skilled con artist was important to her as she tries to reconcile her mother’s expectations for her. The Big Con is now available on Xbox One, PC, and Xbox One X, and Xbox One S.
#3 The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an epic action game set in a rich and meticulously created open world where you take the role of Geralt of Rivia, a Witcher.
The Witcher world is filled with monsters, malevolent spirits, hexes, and dark magics owing to the Conjunction of the Spheres, which opened a gateway for hellish beings to travel between dimensions.
As a result, everything is up on the shoulders of Geralt and his daughter as they travel the land, dispatching everything from undead creatures to draconic beasts to protect human civilization.
The Witcher 3 takes place during a large conflict between the Nilfgaardian Empire to the south and the Northern Realms to the north. As a master swordsman, accomplished alchemist, and seasoned occultist, Geralt keeps company with everyone from simple townspeople to kings and archwizards.
#2 Assassin’s Creed Odyssey
A major part of the Assassin’s Creed RPG franchise, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey was released in October 2018.
Odyssey takes place during the Peloponnesian War and puts you in control of Alexios or Kassandra, both of whom are attempting to discover the truth about their past while navigating Ancient Greece as a mercenary.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the most recent addition to the franchise, but Odyssey is still our favorite Assassin’s Creed game on Xbox One and one of the best Xbox One games.
Odyssey is an eye-catching Xbox One game that transports you to the heart of Ancient Greece, easily earning it a spot in our Top Xbox One Games list. Just be sure you have the time to play it because it takes almost forever to end this game.
#1 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
Jedi: Fallen Order is one of the greatest “Star Wars” games in years, putting you in control of Cal Kestis, one of the few Jedi to survive Order 66’s atrocities.
Fallen Order is a must-play for fans of the franchise. If you want to live out your Jedi power fantasies — and experience a fantastic standalone “Star Wars” tale while you’re at it — Fallen Order should be on your list.
