During the event, we either played or observed hands-off demonstrations of more than 30 games scheduled for release in the coming year. This experience lingered with us long after we set aside the controller, and we weren’t the only ones. Throughout the weekend, Cocoon was the topic of conversation among our peers, including both members of the press and content creators. Everyone seemed to be singing its praises, even though they struggled to explain exactly why it was so exceptional. This widespread enthusiasm easily earned Cocoon the title of our favourite game of the show, surpassing even some impressive contenders on the list.
Age of Asgard

We had an absolute blast with Mortal Kombat 1. Besides the spine-tingling fatalities it’s known for, one standout feature is its Kameo system. This nifty mechanic allows players to summon a second character for some additional attacks.
This seemingly small addition makes a significant impact, offering players many opportunities to infuse creativity into their playstyle and extend combos in surprising ways. With this innovation in mind, we’re hopeful that Mortal Kombat 1 is paving the way for another groundbreaking fighting game—one that can hold its own against Street Fighter 6, set to debut later this year. We’re excited to see what the future holds for the genre.
Resident Evil 4 (Best VR Horror Game)
