The wait is now over for gamers, families, and Nintendo aficionados. Nintendo is finally showing off the latest version of its famous console after almost ten years. The Nintendo Switch 2 comes out at Target stores on June 5, 2025. This is one of the most highly anticipated video game releases in a long time.
On April 24, Target.com started taking pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Nintendo Switch 2 + Mario Kart World Bundle. They sold out in less than two hours, which shows how much people want this new platform.

In-Store Launch Details for June 5
Starting June 5, Target shops will sell the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mario Kart World Bundle, which is only available at Target. Target has imposed a restriction of one unit per item per guest because of overwhelming demand. These items will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Before shops open, shoppers will have to wait in line at specified places. Target employees will give out physical or digital tickets to hold the item.
After that, those with tickets will be shown to the electronics section so they may finish their purchase and pick up their things. Target stresses that there won’t be a lot of goods, and the ticketing procedure will conclude when all tickets have been claimed or 10 minutes before the shop opens.
Online Availability Begins June 6
If you can’t get to a Target store on launch day, you can still acquire both the Nintendo Switch 2 and the Mario Kart World Bundle online at Target.com and through the Target app starting early on June 6, as long as they last.
