Honor has introduced the new Honor Magic5 Pro and said that the Honor Magic Vs will be available in other countries. At Mobile World, both phones got a lot of attention, but the company decided to focus more on the brand-new Magic5 Pro.
It has a lot of power, but its unique features could really make it stand out. The Honor Magic5 Pro has top-of-the-line features, such as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, 12GB of RAM, and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage.
A 6.81-inch LTPO display with a resolution of 1312 x 2848, a maximum brightness of 1800 nits, and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz will also be on the Magic5 Pro. You also get three cameras: a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens, and a 50MP periscope zoon lens.
You’ll get a front-facing camera with 12MP resolution and a 3D depth camera if you like to take selfies. The highest resolution you can get when making a video is 4K at 60 frames per second. It even has an extra mode that lets you record at 10 bits and 60 frames per second in a format called Magic-Log.
As for battery life, the big 5,100 mAh battery should last all day, and you can charge it quickly thanks to 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Find out more about the Honor Magic 5 Pro and what it can do in our article. Let’s get started.

The Honor Magic 5 Pro
This is the best phone in the world. It has all the features you’d expect from a top phone. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chip, which is the most powerful one currently available.
The back is a round camera module, and the front is a flat piece of glass. If it has an IP68 rating, it should be safe from dust and water. The most common colors are black and green, but the phone will also be sold around the world in blue, purple, and orange.
The 5100mAh battery should last a long time because it can be charged with 66W through a wire and 50W without one. Also, the show is great. It is an OLED that is 6.81 inches and has a few extra features. It has four curves, so it should feel smooth in your hand, and it uses LTPO technology so that the refresh rate can be changed from 1 to 120Hz.
The 13122848 resolution should be clear, and it has the usual HDR, a peak brightness of 1800 nits, and excellent color accuracy. There is even a separate display chipset that makes sure the HDR features and frame rate are at their best when you are playing games or watching videos.
Display
Like the Magic 4 Pro, the Magic 5 Pro has a large 6.81-inch LTPO screen with a smart refresh rate of up to 120Hz. But there have been some changes and improvements, which we’ll talk about in a minute.
It has a beautiful, easy-to-hold screen with four curves. But it isn’t always the best choice in terms of how well it works. Some of the edges don’t respond as well to touch, which could be a problem for gamers.
But it’s beautiful, so we can’t say anything bad about it right now. But the pill-shaped hole for the front-facing camera, which was carried over from the Magic 4 Pro, will continue to divide opinions. Now, things are different.
First, it’s brighter. The Magic 4 Pro could only get as bright as 1000 nits, but the Magic 5 Pro can go up to 1300 nits and has a technology called Novel Display Luminance Enhancement that can boost that to 1800 nits for HDR.
This means that it should work better in bright or direct sunlight. It should also work better with HDR because it supports HDR10+ and has the IMAX Enhanced certification. This should make sure that pictures look the way the director wanted them to.
Cameras
The Honor Magic 5 Pro has a lot of cameras on the back, which is what we’ve come to expect from high-end phones. On the back, there are three big sensors. It has 50MP on all sides, and the telephoto lens from the Magic 4 Pro, which looks like a periscope, is back.
That promises the same 3.5x optical zoom and a 100x digital zoom, which sounds like a lot. A new computational optical algorithm is supposed to make a big difference in how clear the image is at these very high zoom levels.
This year, the sensor is bigger, and Honor says that it can take in 24% more light than the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 13% more than the S23 Ultra. This helps the phone work better when there isn’t much light. We liked how the Magic 4 Pro took pictures at night, which is a very good sign.
As usual, the three cameras will work together and on their own to give you the best picture possible for the conditions. The Magic 5 Pro will change the lens for you automatically to make sure you get the best results.
This should also happen quickly, even at night, thanks to the new Super Night Capture mode and the brand-new Millisecond Falcon Capture algorithm. AI Motion Sensing also tries to take pictures of moving things that are steady and clear.
This means that you should be able to take clear pictures of anything, whether it’s a dog, a child, a sport, or anything else. All of this means that DXOMARK will give you another green light. At the moment, the best camera in the world is the Magic 5 Pro.
It has a score of 152, compared to 146 for the iPhone 14 Pro Max and 147 for the Google Pixel 7 Pro. The selfie camera was one of our least favorite things about cameras last year, and it looks like this year will be the same.
Hardware
The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is used in the Honor Magic 5 Pro. It has 12GB of RAM, which is double what the Magic 4 Pro had, and 512GB of storage, which is also double what the Magic 4 Pro had. The Magic 5 Pro doesn’t have 100W charging like the Magic 4 Pro, which is a shame, but it still has 50W/66W wireless charging and a better battery capacity, up to 5100mAh from 4600mAh. Honor says that the battery should last for a whole day, which seems about right to us. The latest MagicOS7.1, which is based on Android 13, will run on the Honor Magic 5 Pro.
Storage and Networking
The 256GB of storage space on the Honor Magic 5 Pro can’t be added to. The user can also connect using his A-GPS, 5G and 4G VolTE networks, Wi-Fi 802.11, b/g/n Bluetooth v5.3, and mobile hotspot.
Expected Price
The all new Honor Magic 5 Pro has an expected price of almost Rs. 1 Lakh in India, which is actually quite a lot.
Conclusion
Honor made a phone that looks like a top-of-the-line model. The Magic 5 Pro has some great specs and cool features, and it also has a few industry certifications to back it up. Even though the hardware looks nice, it will only live up to the high expectations that come with being a flagship if the software works well and is supported for a long time.
If it does well here, too, it could be a real competitor. Honor has also thought a lot about how well your eyes are doing. It has 2160Hz PWM dimming, low blue light output, and “Circadian Night Display” technology to make sure it doesn’t mess up your sleep schedule.
The other thing that stands out is the camera. There are three 50Mp cameras on the back of the phone. This means that all three cameras have the same high resolution: the main camera, the ultrawide camera, and the telephoto camera. The best feature is probably the 1/1.12-inch main camera with OIS, but they all look good on paper.
They also have a feature called “Falcon Capture,” which makes photos of things that move quickly look better. The software on the phone is Android 13 with MagicOS 7.1 on top of that. It also has controls for motion gestures, like swiping your hand to scroll, but we don’t think these will be used very often.
