For both iOS and Android, the methods to change your password in the mobile app are essentially the same.

Launch the Instagram application.
Go to your profile page by tapping your account symbol in the lower-right corner.

Quick tip: If you have numerous Instagram accounts and want to change the password for one of them, tap and hold the account symbol at the bottom of the screen until a pop-up appears, then select the account you want.

Select Settings from the three horizontal lines symbol in the top-right corner of the screen.
Select Security.

Open a web browser and go to the Instagram website.

To the right of the Edit Profile link, click the gear symbol.
Click Change Password in the pop-up window.
Type your current password, followed by the new password you’d like to use. Click Change Password when you’re finished.

You may need to reset your password if you’ve lost or forgotten it. You can do so via the mobile app’s login screen or from a desktop browser.

On the app for mobile:

Open Instagram on your mobile device and go to the login screen. Tap Get help logging in (if you’re using an Android phone) or Forgot password? under the username and password fields. (Apple iOS)
