Tekken 8: Story
Jin Kazama and his father, Kazuya Mishima, are about to fight their final battle, which has been building for years. Jin has had to deal with his family in other games in the series, but his Devil Gene will be a big problem in the next one.

It keeps taking more and more of his humanity until he turns into Devil Jin in the middle of the fight. Harada, on the other hand, has said that the last scene of the caravan, in which chains are broken, is a metaphor for Jin breaking away from the conflicts he has been in for several games.
Since the events of Tekken 7, six months have passed. It looks like the last fight between Kazuya and his father Heihachi, but Harada wants to surprise the audience. Jin wants to kill Kazuya, just like his father does, to stop their family from causing so much trouble in the world. Jun Kazama, Jin’s mother, is back in the game.
People thought she was dead after Tekken 3 and the games that came after it. Mari Shimazaki, who is known for her work on Bayonetta, made Jun’s design. In the second trailer, we saw Paul Phoenix, Marshall Law, King, Lars Alexandersson, and a new version of Jack.
Tekken 8: Characters
Right now, we know about 8 of the Tekken 8 characters, but there will be a lot more:
- Jin Kazama
- Kazuya Mishima
- Jun Kazama
- King
- Paul Phoenix
- Lars Alexandersson
- The Marshall Act
- Jack-8
- Nina Williams
Tekken 8: Gameplay
According to director Katsuhiro Harada, Tekken 8 gameplay will focus on “aggressiveness” and will have a new “Heat” gauge system, in addition to returning gameplay features from Tekken 7, such as Rage system-based attacks, with the Rage Drive having been separated and reworked as a Heat system-based move known as Heat Smash, leaving the Rage State that can only have an access to use Rage Art once more like prior to the Fated Retribution version of Tekken 7.
People who are aggressive will do better in the game than those who “turtle up.” Like the Soul Charge state from Soulcalibur VI, the Heat State gives chip damage and changes the way some characters’ move sets work, like making a heavy guard break possible.
Fighters can also dash cancel their special moves into the Heat State, which is similar to MAX Mode in The King of Fighters series. A fighter’s move set can be used to stop the Heat State timer. Since Tekken is now a high-level e-sports game, there will be an emphasis on stage destruction, how characters react to it, and making the game fun to watch as well as play. Based on how well the old system worked, the new system was made.

The “Screw” damage property from Tekken 7 was going to be back in this game, but it was replaced with a newer juggle combo extender system that makes the opponent stuck on the ground when they fall quickly, like in Tekken 6.
Whether the combo extender is a launcher or a knockback, this is what happens. When defending against a normal state character’s heavy attack or a heat state character’s attack, fighters will take a chip of damage that lets their health bar refill.
But unlike in Tekken Tag Tournament games, where the health bar could only be filled up in Tag mode, a fighter’s health can only be restored by blocking normal state characters or by getting hit. Instead of using old content, all of the character models are brand new and are meant to be better than what was in the last game.
Also, the voice lines will only be based on the current voice actors and none from the previous games will be used. The Unreal Engine 4 is used for Tekken 7, but the Unreal Engine 5 will be used for Tekken 8. This will make it the first major fighting game to use the latest of game engine.
When will Tekken 8 be Hitting the Stores?
Most people think that the game won’t come out until late 2023 or, more likely, 2024. As of this writing, there is no official release date for Tekken 8. A new trailer was shown at The Game Awards. It showed some of the returning characters and told a lot about the story. But it looks like we’ll have to wait a while to find out when it will be out. The creator of the series, Katsuhiro Harada, said that the game is being made from scratch using Unreal Engine 5 and that no parts from Tekken 7 are being used.
Tekken 8 Trailer Video
In the first Tekken 8 trailer, Jin Kazama and his father, Kazuya Mishima, fight in a barren, stormy wasteland. They fight back and forth until Jin kills Kazuya with a blow that comes from the power he gets from his devil gene.
The disclaimer at the beginning of the trailer makes it sound like the footage is real-time, in-engine footage, which is exciting. If this is true, the graphics in the final game should look just as good as they did in the trailer.
On Which Platforms Will Be the Tekken 8 Game Releasing?
Tekken 8 will be playable on the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. That’s right. The people who made Tekken 8 said that they are using the power of the latest consoles to “push the feeling of power in battles continuously further.”
This means that it’s unlikely that the game will be released for PS4 or Xbox One. Things could change before Tekken 8 comes out, but for now, we should assume that it will only work on the current generation of consoles.
