Apple has been teasing its upcoming iPhone 7 for quite some time now. Many past reports have tipped a lot of information about expected features on the device. Now, in the latest development, Apple has finally revealed the launch date for the smartphone. The iPhone 7 will be presented to the world on September 7 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. The event will kick off at 10 AM Pacific Time, and as expected, Apple will be live streaming the event on its website and Apple TV.
The media invite sent by Apple reads,“See you on the 7th”. The “7” is an apparent reference to iPhone 7 as well. With this report, all the past rumours about September 16 being the launch date, bite the dust. In fact, if the new reports are to be believed, the pre-orders for iPhone 7 will begin on September 9.
At the iPhone 7 event, Apple is also expected to show the second generation of Apple Watch. For the Watch as well, there will be no radical change in terms design. However, we do look forward to a new range of materials-based bands for the Watch. Also, a report by MacRumors says – “new Watch packs enhancements such as a faster processor, better GPS chip, and improved water resistance properties.”
The launch event for the iPhone 7 is slated for September 7 in the U.S., although it will go on sale in a phase-wise manner. One of the most awaited announcement would be the pricing for the new Apple iPhone. The previous reports by WSJ suggested that Apple has suffered a slump in its sales. It would be interesting to see how Tim Cook prices the product to woo more buyers and heighten the sale.

As we reported earlier, the new iPhone is going to be similar to the iPhone 6s regarding design. The only visible change would be the relocated antenna lines. Also, the new iPhone 7 will come with an edge-to-edge display packed with True Tone capabilities to accommodate the screen as per the ambient light. In addition, the iPhone 7 will sport an enhanced iSight camera module. The rear lens will have sapphire crystal glass for safekeeping. It is the first time when Apple has integrated a dual camera setup on its device. The dual camera is touted to capture better light and colours, which in turn facilitates sharper images. Surprisingly, the dual camera setup is tipped to be limited to the iPhone 7 Plus only.

As a recap, many reports indicated that the home button on the Apple iPhone 7 would come equipped with Force Touch. The home button will answer “to pressure with a vibrating sensation rather than an actual physical click.” The Force Touch button on the iPhone 7 will work pretty much like the Force Touch trackpad on the MacBook. If this turns out to be true, then iPhone fans are in for a treat. This change would make the iPhone user experience more instinctive.
