Microsoft just said that Microsoft Phone Link for iOS on Windows 11 is now available in 39 languages and 85 places around the world. Recently, they said that the Windows 11 Phone Link feature would be changed so that it could connect a Windows 11 PC to an iOS mobile device.
The goal is to make it easy to talk to the people you care about most by getting rid of barriers between your phone and PC. People working on this update are taking their time because they know how important it is to be able to talk to friends and family quickly during important times.
They asked Windows Insiders to take part in tests and give feedback so that people could have the best experience possible. They got good comments, such as “This is exactly what I’ve been hoping for on my Windows PC,” so they started a slow rollout to their Windows 11 group. By the middle of May, everyone would be able to use it.

Microsoft is Rolling Out Phone Link for iOS to all Windows 11 Users
Everyone with Windows 11 and an iPhone will be able to use Phone Link for iOS by the middle of May, when the rollout is supposed to be done. You can connect your PC to your Android or iOS device over Wi-Fi with the Phone Link app.
Ali Akgun, Corporate Vice President of Software Engineering for Microsoft Devices, said, “Today, we’re excited to announce that Microsoft Phone Link for iOS on Windows 11 is starting to roll out to our global audience in 39 languages and 85 markets.” “We can’t wait to start slowly releasing Windows 11.” By the middle of May, everyone will be able to use it.”
Users can choose which iPhone they want to use on the app’s home page. Next, they will look at a QR code on their PC screen to learn how to pair their device. After pairing your phone and letting it share contacts and alerts, you can use your Windows 11 computer to see mobile alerts, check messages, and make or receive calls.
“Once the Windows 11 customer turns it on, Phone Link for iOS will offer basic iOS support for calls, messages, and access to contacts,” Akgun said. “This means that if you put away your phone during a presentation or another time when you need to focus, you’ll get notifications on your Windows PC and can decide what to do on your Windows 11 PC.”

“Phone Link does not support replying to group messages or sending media in messages,” Microsoft Senior Program Manager Brandon LeBlanc said when Phone Link for iOS started rolling out to Windows Insiders in February.
Phone Link for iOS needs an iPhone with iOS 14 or higher, a Windows 11 computer, a Bluetooth connection, and the most current version of the Phone Link app. Microsoft released Windows 11 in March 2022. Since a QR code could be read, it was easy to set up while Windows was running. It also showed people how to use it in a new way.
This meant that the Your Phone app was no longer needed. Microsoft showed off the Your Phone app at the Build developer meeting in May 2018. Then, Windows Insiders got Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17728 (Redstone 5). In October 2018, at the Surface show, they also showed what they could do. Phone Link works because it sends texts to friends through Bluetooth.
Then, Apple’s iOS takes over and makes sure these texts are sent through iMessage. This is like how when you send a message to someone with an iPhone, Apple’s operating system turns the bubbles blue. Then, if you get texts through Bluetooth, Phone Link will pick them up and show them in the app on Windows 11.
