If you’re a passionate gamer, you already know all the games you can play cross-platform. Being able to play with your friends regardless of the console you use or simply to get more opponents is extremely exciting. We all remember the days we could play the game only if our friend had the exact same console. However, times have changed for the better in the gaming world.
Unfortunately, not all online games are offering you this feature. For example, if you’re a fan of Blizzard Entertainment and their gaming world, you know that you cannot play Diablo or Overwatch cross-platform. However, there is hope for this to change with upcoming game sequels.
Until then, I’d like to show you several games you can most certainly play cross-platform. Let’s go through my list of best cross-platform games in 2021. And, of course, a reason why they are on the list.

Call of Duty: Warzone
Not the only Call of Duty sequel that supports crossplay, but definitely the best! Despite Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War having this option as well, Warzone beat it in so many ways. If you check the player base, you will find a more extensive community playing Warzone. All thanks to larger weapon selection and some other new elements.

Minecraft
There’s no point in telling you what Minecraft is. Regardless of the type of a gamer you are, and your preferences, you have inevitably heard of Minecraft. So far, the game has been released for 16 different devices, and the Bedrock edition is playable cross-platform on eight of those. Now you know the reason for such a large population of “Minecrafters.” It’s more than just consoles; Minecraft can be played cross-platform with users of Android and iOS as well. Fortnite
Another classic among players. Ever since Fortnite was released in 2017, it only keeps bringing revenue to Epic Games. The game got several sequels and, so far, has been released for ten different devices. Thankfully, it’s possible to play cross-platform so you can enjoy the experience regardless of the device. With over 350 million registered users, this online game is definitely a huge success.

Mortal Kombat 11
If you’re interested in fighting games, Mortal Kombat is likely to be your first choice. The newest sequel, Mortal Kombat 11, not just re-defined the graphics and made the game look more realistic, but it brought us a crossplay option. If you have a PlayStation or Xbox, you’ll be able to join others in crossplay quickly. If you have any other console, you will still be able to play with your friends, but you need to find them out of the game first, in one of the many Krossplay lobbies. Final Fantasy XIV
One of the longest existing MMORPG games out there. As per the game devs, there are plans for another five years, so players will still be able to enjoy game content. However, the latest sequel brought us a cross-play option which made many fans happy. If you’re still considering what to play, but you know you want to join your friends in a fight, battle, or simply good match, check out this list. Yes, there are other crossplay games as well, but these are the ones with the highest number of players. Not just will you have a chance to enjoy yourself with your friends, but to play with other gamers that you haven’t met yet.
